Groundhog Day, the movie

Living in Pennsylvania, it is hard to escape Feb. 2 festivities, aka Groundhog Day. We all got a taste of the craziness in Punsxutawney via Bill Murray in the movie of the same name. Aside from having to listen to “I’ve Got You, Babe” over and over, this movie was such a joy. I love the idea of being able to relive any single day, learn from your mistakes and correct them to weave your own sort of “karma”, changing the outcome of your life in the process. The fantasy of this story, of course, is that he would make all these adjustments in the name of love and/or obsession with the lovely Andie MacDowell. I hope they air it sometime today. I’d watch it (or at least part of it) over again.
