A model for creativity and imagination. He changed the world.
I remember watching him every Sunday night on TV, in glorious black and white. No matter, he always provided the color.
He made his fortune; not so much by creating new ideas, but by adapting material that already existed. He presented it all to the world in a new vision. And it was magical.
“Around here, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious – and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
** Post Script: I woke up thinking about him. Found out after the initial post that he died of lung cancer on this day, Dec. 15, in 1966. We share the birthday of Dec. 5, just some decades apart ! Interesting. Always been a favorite.
