Me: “Oh, we’ll be dead before we ever pay off this mortgage.”

It was meant to be a joke; the bank manager laughed. It was my gut response to his statement…

“How nice that you can drop a few years from your mortgage.”

I looked at my husband, he just smiled and chuckled nervously.

He has been witness to my spontaneous “foot-in-mouth” condition for a lifetime.TheLabReport

We were refinancing, improving interest rate, acquiring a shorter term on the loan.

The day prior, my husband’s routine annual physical was not so routine.

We are waiting on the cytology report.

    To pay off the mortgage in Moscow you should make sure your grandchildren will have a good high degree (preferably in finance) because that’s they who will pay off the last payment 🙂
