Someday

An amazing and relevant song, recorded by Stevie Wonder in 1967 at the age of 17. It was recently featured in an ad for Apple.

I like the younger Stevie version a bit more.

Please notice the lyrics. Someday.

Someday at Christmas men won’t be boys
Playing with bombs like kids play with toys
One warm December our hearts will see
A world where men are free

Someday at Christmas there’ll be no wars
When we have learned what Christmas is for
When we have found what life’s really worth
There’ll be peace on earth

Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime

Someday at Christmas we’ll see a man
No hungry children, no empty hand
One happy morning people will share
Our world where people care

Someday at Christmas there’ll be no tears
All men are equal and no men have fears
One shining moment my heart ran away
From our world today

Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime

Someday at Christmas man will not fail
Take hope because your love will prevail
Someday a new world that we can start
With hope in every heart

Someday all our dreams will come to be
Someday in a world where men are free
Maybe not in time for you and me
But someday at Christmastime
Someday at Christmastime

Songwriters: Wells, Bryan / Miller, Ronald N.

Wow, I am covered in goosebumps, have a huge lump in my throat, and have tears in my eyes. The words just grabbed my Heart, Van. How so many long for Peace on Earth. This darkness must come to an end one day and when that day does come, all on Earth will rejoice!!! ❤

    • I believe in my heart that we’ll get there, Amy. There is so much more good on this earth than we hear about…that will prevail one day. Hugs. 💕

I agree with you, Van. When I am actually out in those places that are of Mother and some other places too, I always seem to run into the nicest people. The problem as I see it is the sensationalism of the news and how IF you feed your mind this it will eventually lead you into believing how awful this world is. I SEE good, and that is what I stand upon, my friend!!! So glad we are on the same page!! It is not easy at times to stay to the positive but with others who lift us up it gets a whole lot better. 🙂 ❤

Stevie Wonder is Stevie Wonder, but I like all his earlier songs better than later ones for some reason. This one sounds good, but also imparts an important message.
