“I recall Central Park in fall”
It is a lyric written by NYC producer Milt Gabler for the song Danke Shoen, recorded by Wayne Newton in 1962.
His signature song gained renewed fame when lip-synched in the 1986 movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
Deciduous trees in full color…just one of the reasons to love this part of the world.
Oh wow, Van, this is a fabulous picture. I just stared at it for a long time. So cool!!! ❤
I found it over the winter, have been waiting to share it, Amy. Thanks. ☺
I agree with Amy – it’s a beautiful photo!
I thought it was special. Thanks, Rob. ☺
Wow gorgeous
Autumn color…even in urban settings. 🍃 🍂 🍁 🌾
Yes so amazing
I’m always started by aerial photos of Central Park, regardless of the season. What vision someone had to preserve that piece of land. Lovely photo, Van, and I agree that autumn is a beauty in this part of the world. 🙂
It’s an oasis, D.🍃 🍂 🍁 🌾 Always loved that aerial view as well. Thanks.
The colors are gorgeous this year 😎
Something about those warm temps that hung around for so long, Val. 🌞 Maybe ?
Great photo choice. I love seeing the leaves changing colour at this time of year here in PA. It’s magnificent. I would love to see the legendary Fall Colour in New England some time (schedules never permit travel at that time of year) but there is wonderful colour to be seen here to satisfy me for now.
We cross the state often in the fall…the mountains in center PA. are amazing, hard to capture in a photo. 🌄
Beautiful shot Van
There were a few great ones online, this one stood out for me, DK.
Oh, autumn. 🍁🍂
Yep. It’s one of the things I missed the most when we moved to a warmer climate, where the green stays all year. ❤️ 💛 💙
Hi Van. Hope you don’t mind, but I’ve nominated you for the Three day Three quote challenge in my final entry today.
I don’t mind at all…it’s one of my favorites. Thanks. ☺
Thank you! Look forward to reading your choices.
That is just stunning. This whole post really adds to the beauty and magic of the season. I hope you’ve been enjoying it! xo
For sure, Kelly. We have crossed the entire state of Pennsylvania, can’t help but notice the beauty of the season. ❤️
It’s passing so quickly though! A few rain showers and the leaves are gone, sadly. Definitely have to see it when you can! 🙂
Our rain has been minimal…we still have leaves, and color here. 🍃 🍂 🍁 🌾
That’s wonderful! Have had a little rain lately here… raining now but warm. Have family coming for the weekend so I’m happy it’s warm since we will be outside downtown… really wrapped up in the World Series this year!
That’s a great photo!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen NYC and the park from that angle before
It is beautiful from the air. Not too bad at ground level either, George. A special place. ❤️
Yes it is… Love that shot
That’s quite the view! Does it really look like that from above? It’s such an oasis surrounded by a concrete and asphalt farm.
Oasis is a perfect word for it. Someone had great vision in planning that space. ❤️
The trees do look so beautiful at this time of the year.
We just had a thunderstorm blow through…leaves are on the ground now…too bad it didn’t last ! ☺
Aw, that’s a pity.
This is an an amazing picture of the Park.. I knew everywhere were set out in ‘Blocks’ but seeing this expanse of parkland in its symmetry was another eye opener for me.. 🙂
It’s a breath of fresh air in an urban concrete jungle, Sue.🌱 🌿 Glad you enjoyed the photo.
How amazing. Living beachside in Greater Sydney we don’t experience much of an Autumn here and don’t have have in the way of deciduous trees. I almost prefer Autumn leaves to flowers though. They’re so pretty, especially when backlit by the sun and they glow like stained glass windows.
xx Rowena
So very true with the back lighting. Thanks, Ro. ☺
Gorgeous photo Van. A visually beautiful time of year, autumn. 🙂
It’s always been a favorite, Deb. Thanks. ☺
🙂
Wow!! The photo is beautiful! I’ve never seen an aerial view of Central Park – going to Google more images. Thanks
It really caught my eye. Glad you enjoyed, Steph. Lots of beauty in parts of that urban setting. ☺
It’s remarkable. I knew it was big but from the sky it looks massive.
Central Park in the fall must be one of the most magical places on earth. Hopefully one fine day I’ll make it there!
